Vonlenska Vintage

Ahhh, and she dreams of clothes, often of clothes, what a sad wee pet who dwells on those garments of which we buy to cover ourselves.. but it is 'art' says She, it is art!

Also, things are on the move with my plans in regards to employment this year. Yay! *Fist pump/knee lift*
I attended and passed a 1st Aid Certificate course over the weekend, and have to say that after which I seemed to notice many a hazardous thing in my house when I got home!!

Dresses and Ducklings.

Mamma's chicken Vera had some ducklings a couple of days ago.. yes I know, aren't chickens supposed to have baby chicks? True. But they will lovingly mistake ducks eggs as their own eggs if deceived so. My mother; the deceiver?? Surely not!
Here they are, one day old with mother Hen. So fluffy and cute. Wish I was back there on the farm to cuddle them.

And as I was so blessedly a part of one of my best friends' wedding and the photographer has released 41 edits, here is one of mine and Stef's favourites... It was a terribly windy day. (terribly, terribly so, I think my knickers were on display many more than 7 or 8 times, eeeep).

My Movie of the week..

Terminator Two equals Bi-bi-bi-bi-bRilliant. It has lines to quote coming out of the ying-yang. And although Sarah Connor is so freakin' ripped you might almost think she to be a male gymnast she is somehow a sweet ass babe.

nice trousers is what I am thinking.

Spring comes next... right??

It is still Winter over here, yes it is true. But this is England and such is the way of seasonal life in these parts but I do not mind. Much. .. he he he.

I am dreaming of spring time shorts, to skip about in.. but am not spending money on clothes as I have other things to pay for...first things first! I name this a year of investment. Investing in some more 'skills' and 'qualifications' and going to try to save some mulah for the future, my future to be precise which is of most importance. Also, I have a little project up my sleeve which I am hopping all over at the minute, so hopefully it shan't take too long to get it off the ground.. time will tell.
If you want something done; do it yourself. On your own. Well gee, so the independent fun continues.

Family.

Just a picture of almost everyone at Nana's post funeral afternoon tea. Mum wanted to wear red, so she did (smile).

Mum and I have matching zips down our fronts.. just noticed that... I miss her.
It's a little warmer today --> 7 degrees Celsius; tropical.

Christmas gifting, wardrobe face-lifting, little clouds a - drifting and here she goes!

I made a few Christmas gifts by hand this year. One as a secret santa for a man I had never met, knowing only his name and that he was a postie and one for my friend who consequently has two first names like the character Ricky Bobby in Taladega Nights... I was and still am quite proud of them and think I just might have to make a little flag type message of my own to hang on my walls (which are starting to become cluttered this little room of mine!)

After a wonderful holiday back in New Zealand I was treated to some lovely gifts from my lovely brother and his also very lovely lady friend. In my waves of jetlag, sudden alertness when one should be sleeping on this side of the world led me to play dress ups in my gifts and thrifts that I accumulated in NZ.

And finally, this morning, in my moments of contentment I did a little sky gazing as the sun crept onto my blinds and I thought; my oh my, what a sight for sore eyes. England is not all grey, and I am not sad to be so all far away (from where I have just come, as I think something might have just begun... and is in motion ever still... and they call it life or so I hear!)
