So, I will tell you what DID
happen on Friday...
... Katie got up at 9.05am.
She had a shower.
She got dressed,
put on her cream silk t-shirt.
She talked to her lovely mamma on skype,
who was at home alone with all the animals.
She checked her emails;
1. confirmation that NZ$2700 are now
somewhere in space, making their way
over to her new and empty British
Bank Account.
2. Recruitment agency - no current positions
that suit your 'skills.'
("I'll show you my skills!" she says, whilst
shaking her fist).
She sent some emails;
1.Application for receptionist
position in Gateshead.
2.Arranging a time to meet with
Northumbrian Nanny agencies next week.
She hopped on the Number One bus
to Low Fell.
She walked up a mild hill to
the 'Beacon View Medical Centre'
where she handed in a CV and cover letter
for a job that was only just advertised
this morning.
She walked back down the hill.
No buses for 29minutes.
Visited 3 Charity stores
and naughtily (probably not even a word)
purchased 2 shirts,
for a mere total of £2.99.
One is cream, made of 80% cotton and 20% wool,
and the other is more than likely a
poly-cotton blend of delicious tartan/plaid
goodness.
She discovered how to use
the auto-timer on her camera.
Here she is, sporting them
in the most fashionable sense she
can:
o yes, and yesterday (not Friday at all, but I am
willing to break the rules, cos I am a rule BREAKER,
not a heart shaker) she got a call from
The Percey Hedley Foundation saying;
"you were a pleasure to meet and interview
yesterday, we'd like to hire you for the position."
That being the on-call 'Residential Child Care Officer'
that I told you about a few days back.
Heh, she charmed 'em is what she did!
-katie joy.
yes yes and triple yes! sweet working goodness. xx
